"On the 16th of July in 2016, Tiny Legs Tim performed as the headline act at the famous Ghent Festivities. He and his band gave a more than two-and-a-half-hour concert on the big stage at Sint Jacobs, near Trefpunt, the heart and cradle of the Ghent Festivities.
On the 24th of November 2017, ‘Live At Sint-Jacobs’, Tiny Legs Tim's first live album, was released, featuring some of the songs he played at this concert. Most of the songs are from his 2015 album ‘Stepping Up’.
With 'Stepping Up', the title track of this album, Tiny Legs Tim goes straight into it energetically. Swinging delta blues with slide, a solid rhythm section and snatches of harmonica. The steamy boogie 'When I Fall' is followed by the tight midtempo blues 'Get It Back' with excellent guitar work and subdued harmonica. The tight rhythm section is in excellent form in the midtempo blues 'Heart Of The City' and in the blues stomper 'Can't Win Them All', Steven Troch pulls his harmonica almost to shreds. The spirit of Muddy Waters haunts the stage in the slow blues 'Big City Blues'. A fat slide and a nice harmonica solo. Also in 'Keep Me Satisfied' there are clear Muddy Waters influences and Tiny Legs Tim shows that he listened carefully to his 'Rolling‘ And Tumblin’' and 'I Can't Be Satisfied'. In 'Evil', Tiny Legs Tim again shows he is an excellent slide guitarist. The howling mouth harmonica and rhythm section complete the feast of this song. The last song is 'I Got Something', an uptempo boogie with a chasing rhythm section, harmonica, guitar, in short, everything is pulled out of the closet."
